MS. VOULGARIDOU RETURNS TO ITALY
Alexia Voulgaridou returns to Italy – at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania – to sing the role of Marguerite in Gounod’s “Faust” which she has also performed in Valencia and Palermo last year.
As a highly sought-after interpreter of Puccini’s La Bohème and Turandot, (Staatsoper Berlin, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Royal Opera House in London, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Hamburg, Palau de les Arts Valencia) this year she can be heard as Mimi in Palermo and as Liu in a opening of the new theatre in Ghuangzhou in China under Lorin Maazel. Further engagements this year include the role of Micaela at La Scala in Milan and in Los Angeles, USA. Ms. Voulgaridou will also appear in Turin as Luisa Miller and in Hamburg as Nedda and Marguerite.
