Alexia Voulgaridou sings the role of Liu on the DVD of the month of Gramophone Magazine
Chinese film director Chen Kaige’s production has been awarded an Editor’s Choice in the March issue of Gramophone Magazine. The cast includes Maria Guleghina as Turandot, Alexia Voulgaridou as Liu and Marco Berti as Calaf. As a highly sought-after interpreter of Puccini, Ms. Voulgaridou can be heard on February 24th at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo as Mimi, role that Ms. Voulgaridou performed already in opera houses like Covent Garden, Staatsoper Berlin and Teatro alla Scala.
