Alexia Voulgaridou was Micaela in Bizet’s Carmen in Venezuela with the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra under Gustavo Dudamel
The creative collaboration of Alexia Voulgaridou and Gustavo Dudamel last year at the Staastoper Berlin and at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan – where Ms. Voulgaridou performed the role of Mimi – continued this month in Venezuela.
Mr. Dudamel invited Alexia Voulgaridou to join him in Caracas in the role of Micaela for two performances of Carmen on August 5 and 7. Her performances have been rapturously received by audiences and critically acclaimed in Venezuela’s press.
