ALEXIA SINGS LIU UNDER LORIN MAAZEL
Last season Alexia Voulgaridou captivated the audience of Valencia with her singing of Liu under Zubin Mehta. As a regular performer on the Palau de les Arts – Ms. Voulgaridou sang this season Luisa Miller and Marguerite at the Spanish opera house – the soprano returned to Valencia to reprise the role of Liu under Lorin Maazel in the successful production directed by the leading Chinese film director Chen Kaige (see press quotes).
